Japan Connect Mobile Site Now Live

March 13th, 2011 Comments off

Our hearts go out to the people of Japan and their families around the world and here in San Francisco.

We’ve responded by creating a mobile site “Japan Connect” to keep you informed and connected to the latest information about the quake, and to provide links to organizations that are providing link efforts.

We are also developing an iOS native app for the iPhone and iPad, very similar in scope to our Haiti Connect application we released last year.

FilmFest SFIAAFF app just released!

March 3rd, 2010 Comments off

I am very excited about our latest FilmFest app release.   SFIAAFF – The San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival starts here in the Bay Area on the 11th.  The line up is really fantastic, and I do think our app showcases it a superb manner.   It’s the fastest pocket guide in the App Store.

There’s some cool stuff to checkout.   Our simple easy to navigate interface has some great new enhancements.  A new search feature that allows you to find films, shorts, panels and blazingly fast.  Tap in a the letter of a film or event title and you are there.   We’ve added a new calendar view so you can tap and jump right to a particular day.  The new film details view are awesome, bigger beautiful film images,  quick links to play the trailers and bookmark the films and events, and a menu bar to allow you to switch between the details, credits, and screening times.

As if that wasn’t enough to add in this new release, we’ve also added bookmarking.   Our bookmarks allow you to view and plan your film and events schedule, and then email it to yourself for easy ticket purchase and to let friends know what films you’re attending; and with 64 programs and 119 films; There’s no better way to do it than within our iApp.

We know the best part of the film festival experience is getting a group of friends together to go to a screening or event. That real-world social experience can’t be duplicated online.   Our InterAct feature,  “Invite a Friend” creates that engagement, it enables iApp users a quick and simple way to invite friends to see a screening.  One tap does it all!  An email that contains the program description and ticketing links appears ready to send off to friends, without that creepy, sign up for yet another email list feeling.   All happens without ever having to leave the iApp.

This is our 5th iApp for FilmFest, and I’m still beaming like a proud parent.    Your comments are always welcome, we do listen and encorporate them into our releases.

I invite you to download FilmFest SFIAAFF and do to enjoy the festival next week.

See you at the movies!
